Oclean X Pro Elite Review: The fact that the Oclean brand has not yet become very widespread in Germany is probably primarily due to the fact that teeth are a sensitive topic. Despite making up such a small part of the entire body, they are very crucial to health and well-being.
But Oclean deserves more attention. The smart sonic toothbrushes from the Chinese manufacturer are inexpensive, offer plenty of scope and technical finesse. We were able to test the new model, the Oclean X Pro Elite , just in time for the launch.

The Oclean brand is a welcome guest with us. Accordingly, we have already tested almost all Oclean brushes. So also the Oclean X and the following Oclean X Pro . Now the toothbrush saga continues with the X Pro Elite.

Scope Of Delivery
It can certainly be taken as an affront to give someone a toothbrush as a gift. But the packaging is definitely not the problem here:
In addition to the toothbrush itself, the nicely packaged box awaits us:
- Qi charging station with USB cable
- Adhesive attachment with magnetic wall mount (always included with Oclean)
- User manual (also in German)
That’s all it takes to operate a toothbrush.
Unfortunately, no replacement brush heads are included in the scope of delivery. These must be ordered separately. Fortunately, the Oclean coverage in the shops that are common in this country is good. But compared to what’s included with the Fairywill D7 that we tested , the X Pro Elite leaves some feathers here.
Design and workmanship: comparison to the X Pro
Oclean X Pro Elite Review: In contrast to previous Oclean models, the surface of the X Pro Elite is slightly roughened . This is somewhat reminiscent of sandpaper, only without being really rough. This only applies to the main part of the toothbrush, not the brush attachment and gives a modern impression. There is a tongue scraper on the back of the brush head. In addition, the material quality – as usual from the brand – is high . The plastic used is in no way inferior to higher-priced branded brushes that are established in this country.
The display size hasn’t changed compared to the X Pro either, but most of the graphic displays have.
Qi charging station
The difference on the bottom can be explained by the Qi charging station that comes with the X Pro Elite. The toothbrush battery can be easily charged via USB at the mobile phone charging socket, laptop or PC. You simply plug the Elite into its charging station that is connected to the power supply. The previous model X Pro is not compatible with the charging station.
Even if we haven’t been able to test the toothbrush for 35 days, we assume that the specified 35 days of battery life apply in practice after a charging time of 3.5 hours. After all, the specified values also applied to the previous models. Of course, this value varies depending on the frequency and type of use.
“Hi!” greets the toothbrush
The only button on the top starts and stops cleaning modes. The elite greets the user with “Hi” after just raising it, the predecessor prefers “Good morning/noon/evening”.
The user can scroll through the display using touch controls. For example, after a completed cleaning, you can scroll down which results you would like to see displayed after cleaning. Since sunlight isn’t really a factor in bathrooms, everything on the display is consistently easy to read. By synchronizing with the smartphone app, the toothbrush shows the correct time and has greeted me with an Easter message for the past few days:
In addition, the remaining cleaning time during cleaning , the selected cleaning mode including intensity in stages (e.g. 18, quite high) and the battery status are also shown on the display.

Bluetooth and location on the smartphone, the toothbrush can be integrated into the Oclean app ( Android, iOS ). Personally, I don’t understand why the app is rated so poorly in the PlayStore (2.1 out of 5 stars). The app is completely available in German, easy to use and above all offers umpteen programs to choose from.
After querying some user parameters about age, tooth color and consumption preferences, the Oclean app also makes a recommendation that could suit the user based on this data. You can try this recommended brushing mode directly, but it is advisable to go through other brushing modes.
A lot of program for few teeth
Once you have found the optimal cleaning mode for you, you no longer need the app itself. Assuming you’re not interested in historical and valuation insights. From my experience after using the Oclean X for months, I can say that you get a lot out of the app at first, but later you don’t get it at all.
You can also create your own program . You can vary depending on the type of tooth and gum and create the right program for yourself.
Since, according to my dentist, I have problems with receding gums due to pressing too hard with a manual toothbrush in front of the Oclean X, I select a program with gum care accordingly and set the frequency reduction for overpressure (from cleaning power level 24) in the settings. / Oclean X Pro Elite Review.
The programs “Cleaning for braces”, “Sweet drinks in the afternoon” and bleaching in different strengths make the possible variations within the app very diverse.
If you click on one of the programs, you will find instructions on when to do what and where in the mouth. In other words, which mouth area should be processed and when.
Off to the scoreboard
After 30 seconds, the Oclean X Pro Elite briefly interrupts the activity so that the user knows when to switch to another area of the mouth with the brush. After brushing you get a tooth cleaning effect score, but you shouldn’t put too much value on it. After all, I always get 97 points or more, no matter how much or how little I concentrate while cleaning.
If you wish, you can view analysis reports on runtime, pressure and coverage of the mouth area in the app. This then also on a daily and monthly basis. In practice, hardly anyone will use this.
In order to avoid mixing up your values by accidentally pressing the control element on the top, you can activate the ” filtering of data sets “. This filters out all cleanings that are 15 seconds or shorter in length from the reports.
The app is very extensive, clearly designed and the value synchronization with the toothbrush works without problems – even if the app ratings are different. This may be due to the fact that not all users of the app grant any permissions. I can not understand the reviews as mentioned. What is missing here? Ah, firmware updates!
Oclean X Pro Elite Review: Firmware updates can be bug fixes, performance improvements or even new functions or cleaning modes. It is therefore advisable to keep the firmware up to date. The condition of the brush head is also traceable. That way you know when it’s time for a refill. Replenishment is available from Amazon, among others, with fast delivery, so that ordering is possible at short notice. If you have replaced the brush head, you reset the status in the app to zero.
Conclusion: Buy Oclean X Pro Elite?
The innovations compared to the previous model X Pro are not gigantic , which in turn only offered minor innovations compared to the original X model. The design has become even cooler, the charging station is practical and the app still offers umpteen program and setting options. Even if the Oclean X Pro Elite is a really interesting, smart electric sonic toothbrush: you already know most of it from the Oclean predecessor models. (Oclean X Pro Elite Review)
Of course, we are not dentists and cannot give you an expert opinion, but only describe our impressions here. And we’re quite taken with the X Pro Elite. I’ve been using the previous toothbrush for about six months now and I’m still satisfied. Since then, my dentist has not noticed any negative changes that could be attributed to the toothbrush.
